The Nebula Award nominations are out, and between this month and next we have three current nominees and a Grand Master.

Richard Bowes is currently nominated for a Nebula in the novelette category. He has published six novels, four story collections and over seventy short stories. He has won two World Fantasy, a Lambda, Million Writers and International Horror Guild awards. His most recent novel, DUST DEVIL ON A QUIET STREET was on the 2014 World Fantasy and Lambda Awards short lists.
 
Recent and forthcoming literary appearances include: Ellen Datlow’s The Doll Collection,
Tor.com, XIII (from Resurrection House), Farrago’s Wainscot, Uncanny, and Best Gay Stories 2015.


Alaya Dawn Johnson is the author of six novels for adults and young adults. Her novel THE SUMMER PRINCE was longlisted for the National Book Award for Young People's Literature. Her most recent, LOVE IS THE DRUG, was nominated for the Norton Award. Her short stories have appeared in many magazines and anthologies, including Asimov's, Fantasy & Science Fiction, Interzone, Subterranean, Zombies vs. Unicorns and Welcome to Bordertown. The New York Review of Science Fiction Reading Series provides performances from some of the best writers in science fiction, fantasy, speculative fiction, etc.  The series usually takes place the first Tuesday of every month, but maintains flexibility in time and space, so be sure to stay in touch through the mailing list, the Web, and Facebook.

We will have cider and cheese as always, and a raffle for donors of $1 or more.  After the event, please join us as we treat our readers for dinner and drinks nearby.
